Zaanse Schanse, Holland

A fully inhabited open-air conservation area and museum, Zaanse Schanse vividly depicts Dutch life in the 17th and 18th centuries. See several of Holland’s remaining 955 windmills, some which still produce lumber, paint, flour and other goods.
