Qaqortoq, Greenland

Qaqortoq is one of the most beautiful and festive cities in Greenland and a center for artisans and festivals. In the summer there is the flower festival, where lush and colorful flowers surround the sparkling icebergs. Every year artists and musicians gather for Qaqortoq National Day, and in 1993 local artist, Aka Høegh, started "Stone and Man," where artists carve sculptures in boulders around town.
