Bandol, France

Just to the west of Toulon on the French Riviera is the resort town of Bandol, overlooking the sea from the pine-covered hills of southern Provence. Fishing and yachting opportunities abound, with Bandol’s harbor able to accommodate upwards of 1,500 boats at any time. Guests may choose instead to visit its three sandy beaches or take an excursion to one of its numerous rocky coves for a splendid view of the Mediterranean. Bandol is also wine country, with vineyards occupying much of the countryside, producing the region’s own distinctive varieties of red and white wine.
